Description

Woman's bodice of embroidered muslin and silk. Wide pointed neckline, short straight sleeves and extends to just below the bust. It fastens at the centre back with a cord at the neck and waist. The front panel is shaped to the breast and made from red satin with an applied formal design of flowers and peacocks in gilt sequins and applied with green and blue satin. The seams are bound with red cotton. Red cotton also forms the sleeve borders. There is plaited gilt braid around the neckline and sleeves.
