Description

Folding needlecase with flannel and lined with ribbed silk, England, 1760s Folding needlecase with two inside pockets and two red flannel ‘leaves’ for needles. The outside cover is made with gold woven ribbon. Lined with cream ribbed silk and the inside pockets are faced with French or English cloth of gold brocaded in chenille and coloured silks.
