Rayon commemorative scarf features, radiating out from the center, a cardinal directions compass with helmeted head and string of banners in a roundel of yellow, blue loosely sketched clouds, structures from the festival, light blue-turquoise border. "Festival of Britain 1951" rounds the compass in cursive. Four of the structures are named in the scarf's corners, reading: "Shot Tower", "Sky Pointer", Royal Festival Hall", and "Pavillion 1851". Besides yellow, blue and red are used sparingly. No label.

Vignettes of London theatres; white ground.

Brocaded in polychrome silks.  Symmetrical design of two alternating arrangments of leaves and flowers branching out from the center in a wide, curved, V-shaped form.  Connected on each side motifs interspersed with rosettes.  Selvedge on both sides of six cords and two narrow stripes.  Spotted and soiled.  One end made up of a group of fragments pieced together to continue the pattern. Repaired in several places with embroidery.

The white ground is covered with a fine design of stems and berries, on this are brown stripes, with red and brown and white geraniums, poppies, lilies, asters, etc.  Pieced.
