Thangka lining of brocaded silk, Assam, probably 17th century
Tanka lining of brocaded silk. The design consists of six-hue inscriptions alternating with rows of wild geese and lotus flowers. Colours are red for the ground, and brocaded in green, yellow and white. Fringe at one end.
