Ivory silk plain weave embroidered with silk, satin stitch predominates, with floral sprigs and neoclassical motifs. Urn at bottom left embroidered with date 1798. Stitches: French knot, laid work, satin, shaded satin, and stem.

Rectangular tan linen ground. Flowering and leafy naturalistic vines, a floral grouping tied with a ribbon, two small scenes with houses, one in a vine compartment, and, in a similar compartment, a wreath with the initials "WT" and the date. Motives oriented towards different edges of the ground. Slightly soiled and stained.  Stitches:  French knot, laid work, satin, stem.
