Description
Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in surface darning on the diagonal and running stitch with a backing of plain weave cotton; the edges are bound with plain weave cotton.
This has probably been cut along all four sides as there is no border.
Blue ground. The design is not centralized; it consists of elongated hexagonal [pointed cartouches] and large and small 8-pointed stars arranged as a grid so that three complete rows are formed.

Embroidery threads: 2S silk; orange, dark red, black, beige, white, yellow, dark green, green, dark blue, light blue.
Backing: blue cotton.
Binding: red cotton; this seems to be a double layer which is faded in places and also worn into holes in places.
There are four green silk twill loops added along the top edge.
