Description

Furnishing fabric of woven silk and cotton, designed by L. P. Butterfield for Alexander Morton & Co, Great Britain, ca. 1895 Sample of silk and cotton double cloth showing one selvedge, two raw and a machine woven hem along the bottom edge. The design shows rows of repeating tulips with curling leaves with small clumps of harebells inbetween each. The pattern is worked in two shades of pink with white outlining of leaves and details on flowers.
