Heavy white linen with a geometrical border worked with red, green and deep cream-colored silk, in the stitch called by the Italians punto di Milano, above this are scattered rectangular and star-like forms.

Eight tapering linen panels embroidered with polychrome silk yarns.  Design of six outer panels shows repeating "Queen" patterns, alternating red and green; central panels embroidered with King and Queen pattern, and small birds; "gable" of central archway repeats these patterns and adds variety of birds; in spandrels are large confronting birds, human figures and double-headed eagles.  Linen yellowed, some yarns rotted; pieced and mended in places.

Heavy white linen, or cotton, embroidered with a geometrical border of S-shaped forms and diamonds of red silk; on each side of this is a fern like border of green silk.
