Silk, gilt-metal strips, and gilt- and silvered-metal-strip-wrapped silk, plain weave with supplementary brocading wefts and supplementary patterning wefts

Compound weave in deep blue silk.  Undulating floral vines and flying birds. Selvedge on both sides of two cords and five narrow stripes.  Stained, many splits, some repaired with running stitches.

Piece. Warp-figured weave in dark peach-colored silk. Undulating ribbons with small floral sprays. Diagonal lines on ground. Selvedge on one side of narrow stripes in blue and peach. Spotted, soiled. Many slits in the selvedge.

Grayish-tan figured silk ground. Brocaded in silver wire and gilded silver wire wound on silk cores, tinsel and gilded tinsel, gilded silver frisé yarn and polychrome silks. Intertwined ribbons with scalloped edges and floral sprays tied with ribbons and tassels. Selvedge on one side and on part of the other of six cords and a wide stripe. Many splits and holes, soiled.

Brocaded in white and shades of green and rose on a ground of white compound weave. Curving ribbons with wavy vines of rosebuds and floral sprays. Soiled, worn.

Brocaded in tinsel, silver wire wound on a silk core, frisé silver yarn and polychrome silks on a rose colored figured silk ground.  In the center, a wavy ribbon-like motif with large floral sprays in silver and silks slanting alternately to right and left.  On each side, a zig-zag border in silver with small single flowers.  Composed of two pieces.  Selvedge on one side of four cords and a narrow stripe.  Very soiled, stained, faded, worn.  Silver tarnished.

Brocade in polychrome silks on an ivory-colored ground in compound weave. Floral arrangements with slices of citrus fruits. Composed of two pieces, each with a selvedge on one side of six cords and three narrow stripes. Two pieces sewn together along the selvedges to make a piece rounded on one end and straight on the other. Soiled, slightly worn.

Brocaded in polychrome silks on a ground of ivory-colored compound weave. Small floral sprays of chrysanthemums. Lattice-like effect in ground. Composed of two pieces.

Compound weave with design in cream and shades of pink on a medium green ground. Floral arrangements seperated by irregularly-shaped scalloped motifs. Composed of two pieces. Spotted.

Brcaded in polychrome silks on a maroon-colored ribbed silk ground. Floral sprays in polychrome silks and lacy ribbons in white silk. Selvedge on one side of seven cords and a wide stripe. Worn, holes repaired with gray thread.

Compound satin weave.  Polychrome design of floral sprays with shells on an ivory-colored ground.  Selvedge on one side of five cords.  Soiled, worn.

Brocaded in polychrome silks on a compound ground of green and white. Undulating rose vine, part of it in green and white, part in polychrome. Selvedge on one side of eighteen cords. Soiled, worn.

Brocaded in polychrome silks on a ground of gray fancy satin.  Large floral sprays.  Composed of several pieces.

Compound weave in polychrome silks. Undulating lacy ribbons in cream-colored on a tan-colored ground. Small floral sprays. Selvedge on both sides of twelve cords. Stained, very worn, holes.
