Description

Panel, painted silk, China, Qing dynasty, 1700-1750 Painted silk panel, which is upright, is designed with a camellia tree growing from a rock. From the upper branches depends a yellow basket of flowers with a red tassel. Two bunches of flowers tied with dark blue silk and two butterflies are above. There are violet arabesque borders at the sides and bottom.
