Description

Valance of embroidered canvas with coloured silk and wool in tent stitch. Divided into five square panels are the following subjects, from left to right: a Baroque vase containing roses, caduceus between two cornucopiae, classical vase with carnations, bunch of violas, roses and fruit bound by ribbon, caduceus with two cornucopiae. Each square has a dark blue background and a border of flowers, each with two leaves. The squares are separated and the valance is bordered by a band of vine ornament-trailing borders with leaves and bunches of grapes in green, brown and black on yellow silk.
