Design consists of two repeated scenes separated by a plant, each represents an equestrian figure raising one hand and a man holding a spear towards an animal in the lower half of the band; a bird (eagle ?) is above each of the equestrian figures; the design closely resembles those in the silks with the name  "Zacharias" found in Egypt.

Design of natural-colored linen and polychrome wool; represents three beaded medallions each enclosing a pair of horses (?) flanking a stylized tree; ground of purple wool; five pointed motifs border the fragment; woven with yellow, dark and light brown, red, and purple wool and natural-colored linen. Design shows Sasanian influence.

Light tan colored silk ground with a design of two parallel grey bands framed by a dark brown border; each band is divided into squares and rectangles enclosing geometric motifs of the same color of the ground; probably part of a sleeve band (?). Much worn.

Dark grey ground; the design, of light brown, consists of roundels enclosing floral motifs with broders of festooned branches carrying flowers; the design in the fragment shows one complete roundel and parts of two others; the middle part is sewn onto the fragment.

Fragment (believed to come from the tomb of a daughter of Pepin the Short in the Church of St. Ursula, Cologne). Weft twill. Warp: light neutral colored silk. Weft: reddish purple and light neutral colored silk. Design: all-over pattern with gryphon on the back of a bull framed in circles, woven with reddish purple on a light neutral colored ground..

Geometric design in supplementary red weft on purple background. Design includes small zig zag, large and small diamonds. Linen and wool.
