Ground: linen. Design: a vertical row of conventionalized plants each flanked at the top by small angular animals, worked in cross stitch (not pulled tight) with yellowish green, and reddish orange silk. Sewed to this are two strips of linen on which conventionalized leaves are worked in the same manner. Ragged.

Two panels sewn together. Worked with silk yarns in a local variation of the cross-stitch. Tapering panel embroidered with a vertical row of red and green "glastra" (Greek: vase) patterns and bordered with small diamond-shaped leaves; rectangular panel shows all-over pattern of stylized leaves. Some stains.

Natural linen tabby-woven ground, embroidered with heavy floss silks in cross, herring-bone and fancy binding stitches giving a strong relief effect.  Both faces show borders of alternating dark red and blue-green leaf forms set at an angle. Narrow red and green borders; seams covered by narrow bands of pale green and yellow ochre fancy openwork stitchery. Linen stamped with mark on both faces. Stained and patched. Linen browned.

Each face shows a border of two rows of alternating dark red and blue-green leaf forms set at an angle, with details of the opposite color. Red and green star or rosette in center. Narrow border lines of same colors; seams formed of openwork stitches. Linen stamped with mark on both faces. Stained and patched; some green silks replaced. Linen browned.

Worked in cross-stitch with polychrome silk yarns. Design of stylized leaves or trees with hook-like excrescences embroidcered along all four edges, front and back; in the field of one side is a small symmetrical motif located off-center.

Natural linen tabby-woven ground, embroidered with thick floss silks in cross stitch giving a strong relief effect. Symmetrical, conventionalized brick-red tree form with yellow-green details. Edges raveling. Whitish incrustation on reverse. Linen browned.
