Woven with cut silk pile on a ground enriched with silver thread. This velvet is woven with a border on each side and was therefore almost certainly intended to hang as a wall panel.

Worked in polychrome silk and gilt-silver yarns on undyed linen ground. Scrolling gilt-silver stems with flowers, fruit and leaves. Lined. Poor condition; faded; linen ground worn away in many places.

Worked on a linen canvas ground with silk and wool threads in tent stitch. Ladies and gentlemen in period costumes are shown against columns through which can be seen trees, mountains and architectural motifs. Subject matter not immediately evident. Colors predominately blue, green, gold and shades of tan and ecru. Large areas of repair and re-embroidering. Where yarns have been replaced, fading has occured. Framed in tortoise shell frame, no glass.
