Description

Bookcover, wool embroidered with silk,Sindh, Pakistan, mid 19th century. Bookcover using the 'zardozi' embroidery technique of stitching silver and gold threads and wires of varying thickness and forms on to fabric stretched tightly over a wooden frame.
