Scroll of buff silk embroidered with coloured silks in long and short and satin stitches with coloured silks in long and short and satin stitches with laid and couched work. Scroll is mounted in ivory coloured silk patterned with kingfishers and waves on wooden rollers. The decoration depicts river flora and fauna: from a pool rises a spray of pink lotus with dragonfly above and kingfisher below.
