Description

Intended for use as a garment, clothing. Textile, sari, woven cotton, silk and gold-wrapped thread, Salem (India), ca. 1855 Sari or other wrapped garment, black cotton with pink silk and cotton borders with two chevron stripes in gold-wrapped thread and red silk with fine yellow edges. The end has a deep border of pink silk and cotton, dark pink with a band of buta-shaped plants and chevrons in pink and green on a ground of black and gold-wrapped thread. One end cut.
