Ground red satin, design of conventional flowers, buds, and leaves woven with yellow, bright green, and white silk.  This piece may have been made in Persia or Turkey, for the Italian market, or in Italy, from an Eastern design.

Bedcover. Silk yarns embroidered on plain woven cotton ground. Border design of meandering wine with leaves and floral blossoms with eagles interspersed at intervals. Central medallion in field with floral bouquet rising from vase flanked by two deer, floral buoquets in each corner of field. Ground discolored, stained and worn in places, dark brown silk dye has bled; fringe on one side.

Ground red satin; the design of conventional buds, leaves, flowers, vases, birds and dogs, is woven with bright yellow, green and white silk.  Made in Persia or Turkey, for the Italian market or in Italy, from an Oriental design.  The freshness of the color and the texture suggests the possibility that the execution may be later than the design.

Bluish green velvet woven with a large symmetrical design of conventionalized forms. A large part of this design which is a variation of the leaf and pomegranate design, was originally woven with metal thread, made of thin strips of metal wound on yellow silk. The metal has almost entirely disappeared showing the brilliant orange satin ground, partly covered with worn yellow silk. Darned with red silk.

Deep cream satin ground with large-scale symmetrical design of columns of pomegranates woven in dark red, yellow, green and blue cut pile; some of pile worn; a number of small holes and cracks.
