Intended for use as a garment, clothing. Textile, silk scarf, Bangalore, ca. 1855. Woven silk shawl, white field, deep borders added on with large buta motifs in pink and white, and borders with scrolling, trailing flowers in dark brown, pink and green. Parts of the borders are reversible, to be displayed when worn folded.
