Complex metallic patterning with two side by side repeats. this fabric is of the style called 'bizarre'.

Blue damask with a large scale symmetrical pattern, the vertical center-line is middle of fabric in light blue; large oval frame in the form of a ribbon from the top of which is suspended a basket of flowers from a ribbon. The ribbon frame is the full width of the fabric, and is repeated one on top of the other.

Fragment of dark brown silk grosgrain with large-scale floral group embroidered in green, blue, orange, yellow, grey and black.

Bright yellow damask with a pattern of a symmetrical flower and leafy vine motif: central flower framed by flower sprigs with twisting leaves. The ogee pattern is continued by putting the fabrics side by side. Red stripe in either selvedge.

Reproduction fabric inspired by a sixteenth century design in the Cooper Union Museum collection has a pattern of flower-filled urns and pairs of peacocks.

Pairs of animals with pseudo-Kufic writing on their bodies and pairs of birds in gold and silver on rose.

Alternation of four S-curving vines (two bamboo-like; two seaweed-like). Each vine sends out shoots alternately left and right. Textile would have been used as a dress fabric and was probably inspired by a European woven silk.

Two lengths of woven fabric showing ribbons creating a diamond grid. Bows at the intersections of the grid and enclose a small floral sprig (alternate rows counterfaced) on a rust background.

Blue taffeta with deeply curving serpentines in warp of the ground fabric. Between serpentines, in horizontal rows, figure of a man playing a clarinet, alternating with a bird on a slender branch. Alternate horizontal rows have sprays of flowers. Design brocaded in silver metal thread with outlines in red silk brocade.
